2010-NOV-20: A live recording from our Nov 4 show at the Red Devil Lounge in SF is now available on Soundcloud for listening and downloading. Enjoy, we were very happy with the show, which ranged from spaced-out synth drones to rather krautrock-styled guitar and drums.
2010-AUG-25: I just posted a song from the as-yet-unreleased album Clockwork Moon on the Sounds page, via Soundcloud, since that seems to be a nice way to get some songs out there and embedded into the site here. Check it out, it's one of my favorites and is a bit different for us, with prominent vocals and all. Hope you like it!
2010-MAR-30: As you can see from the Discography section, our album "Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est" is now available! Released on CD-R by Portland's Architect Records, it comes in a regular jewel box with some nice artwork. This is a very special studio album, carefully edited and slightly augmented, including some rare vocal action -- check it out! Also continue to keep an eye on our Bandcamp site, because there's more stuff coming. Speaking of the future, our long-awaited studio collaboration with friends Suishou no Fune is approaching completion from Essence Records in Brazil, and will include a special box edition with bonus CD-Rs of live recordings from both bands! Our newest studio album, the "more evolved" Clockwork Moon, is currently awaiting a home, so stay tuned.
2009-NOV-05: After finally getting a chance to properly edit and master the recording, I'm pleased to say that a great live show recorded in March 2007 with our friend Marron from Dubmarronics on guitar is now available! I've gotten very nice feedback from people about making the music easily available via Bandcamp, so this one's ready for download there as a digital album with a 4-page PDF booklet and all. Listen and download it from our Bandcamp page and enjoy! There's more on the way.
2009-OCT-20: Pleased to announce that the limited-edition cassette, "The Tunnel At The End Of The Light", has been released by Belgium's Sloow Tapes label! It has two live shows, which some fanatics might have downloaded from this site in the past. They've been remastered somewhat, and each occupies a side of this cassette, of which 70 copies have been made with cool ultra-colorful artwork. We'll have some copies for mail-order soon...and see the label for more info.
2009-SEP-13: Some new releases are in the works! After taking my time, I've finally got everything to Sloow Tapes so the live cassette will be out soon. We're also working out a limited-edition CDR of a slightly older unreleased studio album, "Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est", which should be released soon by a cool small label -- news soon once I finish the mastering and artwork!
2009-AUG-10: Three Numinous Eye albums, previously available as limited-edition CDRs, are now available as proper digital downloads on Bandcamp. This is a great site that lets me put our stuff up there for free listening and download of low-res mp3s, plus paid downloads in any format, really cheap. You can basically set your own price, and get them in mp3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, and more. Check it out and let me know what you think (use the "contact" link in the top right or comment at MySpace. I'll be putting more music up on Bandcamp, both albums and individual songs. I've got a bunch of stuff recorded from our last Japan tour that I'll edit and make into a free live album.
2009-AUG-1: The new album is done, and it's quite different in some ways! This is very much a studio album, with Mike Shoun on drums, synth, and more; and yours truly on guitar, bass, synth, sitar, and vocals. Lots and lots of layers, extremely psyched-out stuff, but some accessible cosmic sounds this time around (hence the vocals). We're listening to the mixes and making some decisions now, and shortly I'll post at least one song on MySpace. No title yet for the album, and no release plan yet, but stay tuned.
2009-MAY-14: Yes, I'm bad about updating this news section, sorry. We've been mostly keeping busy working on the new album, which will be a very different studio creation. No title for it yet, but once mixing is done in the next month or two I'll post some samples on myspace. A studio jam with our friends Suishou no Fune is scheduled for release later this year by Essence Records in Brazil, and our Tokyo live set with Damo Suzuki and Steve Eto is nearing completion from Archive Records. Finally, the live cassette from Sloow Tapes actually will happen sometime soon. Plus several more things planned, perhaps just as online albums in order to make them easily available. Stay tuned!
2008-SEP-02: We returned from Japan after playing a grueling nine shows in thirteen days, and it was great. We played with such amazing people, including Up-Tight, Astro, KK Null, Yamamoto Seiichi, Suishou no Fune, New Rock Syndicate, Deadstock, Out of the Unknown, Yolz in the Sky, Oshiripenpenz, Miminokoto, Kawabata Makoto, and so many more! We still have a few copies of our tour CDR available for those interested.
2008-MAY-14: A new release, on cool old retro cassette, will be released sometime coming up by Belgium's awesome Sloow Tapes label! It will contain two live recordings, one on each side. Watch for news coming up...
2008-MAR-27: Our CD-R It's Coming Down is out now! Limited edition hand-printed cover with a nice printed pro-looking CD-R too. Check out the Discography page for details and cover image.
2008-JAN-05: The new LP Live/Studio is out now! Limited edition of 490 copies. Check out the Discography page for details and cover image.
